Ayuko Tsujikura is a female college student who is seriously searching for "true love". Not only is she having an affair with Ezaki, an assistant professor at the university, but she is also dating three men at the same time: medical student Kazuhiko Odagiri and unsuccessful actor Shunichi Nakagawa. However, to Ayuko, she is in a serious relationship with each of them. Ayuko's best friend from university, Megumi, accuses Ayuko of being a villain, but Ayuko doesn't get it.

The industrial group's boss, Fujita, has used bad means for the prosperity of his company. In recent years, he tried to take over a rival company, but failed, and he was noticed by the prosecution. He was driving to a villa in the mountains to destroy evidence, and on the way he encountered a fallen woman, Tomoko, and took him with him. After learning that Tomoko, who had regained consciousness, tried to commit suicide, Fujita sympathized a little and offered a guidepost to live as a concubine if she wanted to die anyway. One night, a man named Sakaki gets into the taxi driven by Masayo. He asks to be taken to a desolate stretch of coast. Although Masayo wants to avoid getting mixed up in trouble, she reluctantly starts the car after Sakaki flashes a thick wad of cash. As the taxi drives through the city at night, the two reflect on their respective pasts; both harboring a sense of loneliness, they gradually come to understand one another.

After Emiko, a bookstore owner, is driven to suicide by loan sharks, her orphaned son Eisuke decides to take his revenge on them. As Eisuke has no relatives, he is taken in by Keiko, who keeps an eye out for him due to his unusual behavior. One day, Eisuke breaks into the loan company with an improvised gun. In the moment, Keiko ends up becoming Eisuke's accomplice and helps him succeed in the robbery. However, the two are surprised when they hear something on the TV news that differs from the truth.
